Waters for FCHS Band Camp
Over the years, we’ve been blessed to build and maintain a meaningful relationship with First Coast High School—especially with its band program and director—and we’re excited to continue growing that connection.
Throughout the next few months, we’ll be collecting bottled water to help keep the band hydrated during their upcoming Band Camp and football season. It’s a simple way we can support these hardworking students as they prepare for the new school year.
Donations can be dropped off at the back of the Sanctuary. Please ask for help if you need assistance bringing in water from your car.
Bible Study & Prayer w/ Pastor Herbert
Wednesdays Nights | 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
You’re invited to join us on Wednesday evenings for a simple time of worship, prayer, and Bible study led by Pastor Herbert. As our church continues to grow, these gatherings will also create opportunities for others to develop and use their gifts in teaching and leadership. The only thing you’ll need is your Bible!
GriefShare: Weekly Support Group
Wednesdays, August 19 – November 18
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way. (Next Gen Building Room 101)
Harbor Kids Christmas Musical Rehearsals – The Little Drummer Dude
Wednesdays, Sept. 2 – Dec. 4
6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
We are so excited for our second annual Harbor Kids Christmas Musical – The Little Drummer Dude. This year’s musical will be on Sunday, December 6th at 5 pm. Sign up your K-5th grader to join the choir or to have them audition for a solo/speaking part!
Rehearsals will begin on September 2nd and take place on Wednesday nights from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm in the Sanctuary. *Please have your child bring a water bottle each week.

Let’s come together and make a difference in our Northside Oceanway community! In partnership with Global Relief of Northeast Florida, from October 11th through November 18th, we’re collecting nonperishable food items—such as canned vegetables and fruits, canned meats, pasta, rice, beans, cereal, peanut butter, pasta sauce, and other shelf-stable essentials—to support local families in need.
Then, we’ll wrap up our collection with a Food Pantry Distribution on Friday, November 20th, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm! Mark your calendars and get ready to roll up your sleeves; we’ll need help with setup & teardown, traffic flow, greeting, bagging, and loading cars.

Worship In The Round

The enemy flees when God’s people come together to give glory to the King of Kings. Join us for a special evening of worship, prayer, and reflection as we gather in the round under the stars. This unique and intimate setting creates space to draw near to God and unite as a church family.
This Worship In The Round will take place outside (weather permitting). Childcare is not provided. Families are encouraged to worship together.

Family Meeting & Chili Cook-Off

Make plans to join us for our next Family Meeting Sunday, November 22, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm! This will be a great time for our church family to gather as we share ministry and budget updates.
And because no family meeting is complete without good food—we’re bringing back our annual Chili Cook-Off! Bring your best pot of chili* to enter the competition, or just come ready to taste and vote for your favorite. It’ll be an evening of fellowship, celebration, and great food. You won’t want to miss it!
*Deadline to enter the cook-off is Thursday, November 19th, by noon.

GriefShare: Surviving The Holidays

Find comfort through the season by attending the one-night gathering, “GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays,” where you’ll find support and practical tips for facing holiday challenges after experiencing loss. GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays is a community of people who know what it’s like to walk through the holidays in grief. You will find connection and comfort in knowing you’re not alone this season.

On Sunday, November 29th, we’ll have a special Family Worship Sunday for Thanksgiving Weekend—with just the 10:30 am service hour. There will be no 9:00 am hour, which means no LifeGroups, Harbor Students, or Harbor Kids during that time. During the 10:30 am service, ministry will be available for Babies–2’s only—all other kids and students will join their families in the Sanctuary for service. We look forward to worshipping together.

It’s that time of the year again. . . the time when we bring out the tinsel, pom poms, and glue guns. Wear your “ugliest” Christmas sweater to church on Sunday, December 20th, for a chance to win a prize.
